Vancouver Mural Festival 2019
Mount Pleasant Area (Main st)
Vancouver’s biggest free public art celebration is back for its fourth year with an exciting lineup of artists and programming that you just can’t miss.
The Vancouver Mural Festival (VMF) has the vision to change the way the city sees art, by inviting diverse artists to transform large public areas with their passion, creativity, and imaginations.
Over 120 murals from past festivals already line the streets of the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. People have been looking forward to the event since it started in 2016, attracting crowds of more than 120,000 people to the area. (Article by Daily Hive Vancouver)
I will be participating in this year’s Vancouver Mural festival with my own wall! Can’t wait to show you what I will create! Follow @carmenchanart for the latest progress updates.

Anonymous Art Show Opening Gala
100 Braid St. Gallery (New West)
Come for the thrill of the Lower Mainlands most exciting art treasure hunt and support the New Westminster Arts Council. Over 100 well known and emerging artists create 12″ x 12″ art on canvas or wood panels-they are signed only on the back of the piece. The anonymous nature of the show ensures that all the art is treated equally, however the excitement of the unknown adds a special anticipation and excitement to the event.
I have submitted one watercolour painting painted on a 12” x 12” wood panel. The first time I have used this medium! Hint: Title of my piece is “Garden on Log (Tofino).” Happy art hunting and let me know if you can guess my piece!
